Thank you for visiting our website and showing interest in our beautiful log home, The Rhododendron. The log home is located in Glade Springs Village, which is seamlessly connected to Glade Springs Resort.

The surrounding area offers numerous attractions and activities, such as golfing, skiing, wild water rafting, horseback riding, experiencing a zip line, and more leisurely ones, such as fine dining, shopping, visiting a coal mine or going to a theatre.

During our vacations, we always rent cabins or homes to compare with our own. What we have found is that the difference between a good cabin and a great one always comes down to the small details, which are often overlooked. For example, a beautiful bed might look appealing in photos on a website, but if the mattress is uncomfortable, you as our guest would not be happy. The same goes for the furniture, which needs to be clean, comfortable and in good shape. A kitchen should be well equipped with all the necessities. We regularly stay in our own cabins, and continuously ask ourselves ‘Would we want this chair in our house, or do we still like to eat from these plates?’ If the answer is “NO”, we will replace it.

We have a lot of pride in our log homes and are eager to share them with you, whether it be the Rhododendron at Glade, or one of the three cabins at the Retreat at Pipestem. Seeing as many as possible of our guests return for another visit is our goal, and we do hope that you will be one of them.
